An Atenao-WPML ticket to the Monaco Exploration Society
The Monaco Exploration Society entrusts Atenao, a WPML-certified agency, with the translation of its WordPress website. A 35,000-word, French-to-English translation processed in two weeks via the WPML (WordPress Multilingual) translation plug-in.
A provider of multilingual services and consulting to the Oceanographic Institute – Albert I Prince of Monaco Foundation since 2012, it was almost natural for the Atenao translation agency to support the Monaco Exploration Society with the internationalization of its main communication portal.
Created in 2017 to solidify the commitment of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco during the United Nations Conference on the Oceans, the Monaco Exploration Society is a platform dedicated to knowledge, sustainable management and the protection of the ocean. It brings together the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Oceanographic Institute – Albert I Prince of Monaco Foundation, the Monaco Scientific Center and the Monaco Yacht Club. It supports these institutions and coordinates collaborative international missions associating Monegasque partners and allies outside the Principality worldwide. In two years, around twenty missions focusing on fauna and aquatic flora have emerged in the Mediterranean, the Atlantic and the Pacific.

A new major “Environmental” benchmark for Atenao
35,000 words is the written scope of the Monaco Exploration Society’s showcase site at www.monacoexplorations.org, whose translation into English has been entrusted to the translation and interpretation agency Atenao, WPML-certified since 2018.
This new collaboration allows our translation agency to further establish itself within the Environmental sector. The Monaco Exploration Society has just added to a high-profile list of clients mobilized for the environment; including in addition to the Oceanographic Institute – Albert I Prince of Monaco Foundation mentioned above, the Energy Observer, the Institute of Ecology and Environment of the CNRS (INEE), the Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), the French Partnership for Water (PFE), the Regional Environment and New Energies Agency (ARENE), the Regional Environment Agency (ARPE), Environment and Solidarity (GERES), the Mercantour National Park, and many others.
About WPML
According to W3Techs, 35% of websites are created in WordPress. So obviously, with the brand name WPML as a WordPress plug-in, WordPress Multilingual naturally rides the wave of popularity from its WordPress parent brand. But if WPML has established itself as the most convenient solution for translating a WordPress site, it has to be thanks to its efficiency and ease of use. This road wasn’t always smooth however, and as seasoned users we can’t say that translating a site via WPML has always been simple. Still, the numbers don’t lie: 1 million websites use WPML today. The most common translation languages used in WPML are English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, and Portuguese. Atenao has been WPML-certified since 2018. As such, the agency stands out as the preferred partner of organizations looking to translate their WordPress website.
